Eid ul Fitr 2025

Following the holy fasting month of Ramadhan, Eid-ul-Fitr serves as a timely reminder to be grateful for what we have and to share with those who may be less fortunate. It is an occasion to celebrate by gathering with friends and family to show gratitude towards God.

The Holy Quran Al-Baqarah 2:185
Ramadhan is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for humanity with clear proofs of guidance and the standard ˹to distinguish between right and wrong˺. So whoever is present this month, let them fast. But whoever is ill or on a journey, then ˹let them fast˺ an equal number of days ˹after Ramadhan˺. Allah intends ease for you, not hardship, so that you may complete the prescribed period and proclaim the greatness of Allah for guiding you, and perhaps you will be grateful.

Paying Zakat al-Fitr is obligatory for Muslims on this day.

Eid in the Woods

A belated Eid celebration at Waldhütte Spreitenbach with Moulana Syed Ali Raza Razvi. The highlight of the evening were the many difficult questions posed directly to the Maulana by the kids and adults alike, with all of us on the edge of our seats listening to his almost effortless answers. A truly memorable session – wholehearted thanks to the organisers!
